Network Support Engineer
Responsibilities

Providing operational support and project implementation for network infrastructure, including switching, cabling, routing, firewall security and site-to-site VPN, IP telephone & recording.

Analyzing and evaluating network security threats and vulnerabilities.

Installation and Support of GTN Applications.

Support in implementing and documenting network policies, standards, and guidelines.

Promoting network policies, standards, and procedures through adherence to daily operational activities.
-
Coordinating with hardware and software vendors to maintain operations, diagnose issues, and resolve problems.

On-call responsibilities in support of a 24 x 7 x 365 production environment.

Install and configure virtual private cloud and site2site tunnels.

Oversee system performance and report generation.
Preferred Experience

A passion for problem-solving and learning new technologies.

2-4 years of applicable experience

Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Previous experience supporting virtual servers and solving network issues.

Previous experience in a 24x 7 managed services, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment a plus.

Previous System administration and support experience (Linux and Windows operating systems; experience with mixed environments a plus).

Previous experience with Kubernetes and experience with networking subnetting, routing, and firewalls.

Previous experience with AWS-based deployments or other cloud platforms is a plus.

Operational knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, NET) is a big plus
