Network Support Engineer


  • Providing operational support and project implementation for network infrastructure, including switching, cabling, routing, firewall security and site-to-site VPN, IP telephone & recording.

  • Analyzing and evaluating network security threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Installation and Support of GTN Applications.

  • Support in implementing and documenting network policies, standards, and guidelines.

  • Promoting network policies, standards, and procedures through adherence to daily operational activities.

  • Coordinating with hardware and software vendors to maintain operations, diagnose issues, and resolve problems.

  • On-call responsibilities in support of a 24 x 7 x 365 production environment.

  • Install and configure virtual private cloud and site2site tunnels.

  • Oversee system performance and report generation.

Preferred Experience

  • A passion for problem-solving and learning new technologies.

  • 2-4 years of applicable experience

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

  • Previous experience supporting virtual servers and solving network issues.

  • Previous experience in a 24x 7 managed services, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment a plus.

  • Previous System administration and support experience (Linux and Windows operating systems; experience with mixed environments a plus).

  • Previous experience with Kubernetes and experience with networking subnetting, routing, and firewalls.

  • Previous experience with AWS-based deployments or other cloud platforms is a plus.

  • Operational knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, NET) is a big plus
